Description

The DIGITUS® DN-80117 is a professional 8-port Gigabit L2+ managed switch in a 10-inch form factor designed for small and medium-sized business networks. It combines Gigabit performance with a comprehensive range of Layer 2 and Layer 2+ features: VLAN (port-based & 802.1Q), QoS with four queues per port, link aggregation with up to eight groups, Spanning Tree (STP/RSTP/MSTP), and an EAPS ring for redundant structures, as well as multicast management (IGMP/MLD snooping) for IPTV and CCTV applications. With eight 10/100/1000Base-TX ports, a 16 Gbps backplane, jumbo frames up to 16 KB, and a forwarding capacity of 11.9 Mpps, it is ideally suited for converged networks handling data, voice, and video traffic. Features such as port isolation, loop detection, port mirroring, and rate limiting enable granular control of the infrastructure, while comprehensive ACLs (IP/MAC/ARP) and authentication via RADIUS and TACACS+ enhance security. Using static routing and up to 32 VLAN interfaces, the switch handles inter-VLAN routing directly at the network edge, reducing the load on the firewall. Management is flexible and audit-compliant via Web GUI, SNMP, CLI, Telnet, SSH, TACACS+, or RMON—including IPv6 support. The fanless metal housing ensures quiet and reliable 24/7 operation. This makes the DN-80117 the managed core for professional SMB networks in a space-saving 10-inch form factor.
